Its... La Push

The day after Aasha's graduation, we headed out early (or at least we attempted) to Forks Washington, and... La Push.

The car ride was a very long and rather boring ride i was told. I would really know because Aasha and I slept for almost the entire 4 HOURS out there. We drove through Forks. If ever you go there make sure not to blink because if you do... You'll miss it, and that's really not a joke. IT IS TINY! And there is a lot of Twilight signs all over the town. We even saw a burger shop where they sell Bella Burgers. So then we kept driving for another 30-40 minutes to La Push. Now to tell you the truth, when Aasha told the family that she wanted to go to La Push for one of her graduation presents, in my mind i was thinking, "this will be soooooooooooooooooo boreing." But i was WRONG! As soon as we reached the beach i knew that. It was soooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful! It was a very foggy day, you could only see the ocean, a few rocks sticking out and nothing past that. But the beach (had no fog) had very warm sand that felt sooooooooooooo good when walking barefoot on it. And the water wasn't really all that cold. It did feel nice. And the best part was the whole beach didn't have any of that really nasty fishy oceany smell that all ocean beaches have. I LOVED IT!

This is a dog that we named Fred. We started at the middle of the beach and walked to the end of the right side of it. Somewhere along the way we happened to adopt a really fat back dog that had really small and skinny legs. He didn't have a collar, and wouldn't fetch sticks... he would only fetch rocks. And not just any kind of rocks... the biggest ones that he could fit in his mouth. He followed us all along the beach until we kind of out walked him towards the end.

Because he had such stubby short legs, and he was so fat and was almost always carrying a huge rock in his mouth he would walk slow. My mom and dad didn't want to take him home with us, even though he was homeless and really cute (and i don't even like dogs), so we decided to walk faster and we lost him. It was pretty sad.
The whole day was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. We watched surfers attempt to surf and then fall, we ate a very good lunch, walked the whole beach, visited the most beautiful and most blue lake EVER! Crescent Lake,

we ate dinner at a restaurant at 10 pm, and then got home at 12:30- 1 am(ish) and spent the inter day together. It was the best trip i have ever had.

Is she really?

Is my sister really graduating on Friday. (Tomorrow!) Wow, she has really grown up fast.

Next winter she's gonna be going off to BYU Idaho.(that school has the nick name of the "marraige school" because most girls get their MRS. degree before they get anything else. I sure hope that's not what Aasha is planning on getting...Or at least not this early.)When she goes off, i know that she will have LOADS and even more LOADS of fun, but...Im gonna kinda miss her here at home.

Im gonna miss our shopping trips together, staying up late talking and laughing together, short walks down to the bus stop, dancing in the living room, driving to school, chatting on facebook with her when she's right across the room from me, sitting next to her in the car on a long car trip playing games talking and laughing, singing very loudly and very off key with her in the car and i will also miss waking up everymoring and playing fashion consultant with her.

She's the best sister any girl(or boy) could have, and I wish we could just stay like this forever.

Prom 2009

As most of you know last Saturday night was the Mount Si High School Senior Prom. Non of Aasha's friends wanted to go, and Aasha didn't really want to travel into Seattle late at night in a fancy dress, park on a side street and go to the dance by herself. So she decided to have a little Prom Party of her own. She invited Her friends Ashley Dryfus and Rebecca Carter to go. And then invited me and told me that i could come and invite a friend to come along. So i invited Jessica Adams. We all dressed up in fancy dresses and met at our house at 6 o'clock. We had dinner and then headed off to Issaquae for the movies. We went and saw Night at the Museum 2. (Great movie, two thumbs up) And then went out for ice cream at Cold Stones. We all got some pretty weird stares. And we were even told that we looked beautiful by several people. All and all the night was wonderful and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

Mormon Battalion Association Essay Contest

About a month an a half ago in seminary they announced a writing contest that the Mormon Battalion Association in Salt Lake, Utah is doing. (they do it every year) The point of it was to write an essay between 2,500-5,000 words about the Mormon Battalion. Well i just thought it would be fun to do, and maybe i would learn something out of it. So i did it, with a TON of help from my mom, dad and Grandma Morrill, and then submitted it. Well today my mom opened up her email and we got an email from the guy in charge of the contest. He told me that my essay was read in front of 12 judges and was placed as one of the top 9 essay's. It was then read again in front of 12 more judges and...Guess what? I placed THIRD! I never thought that i could do it, but i am so excited. But i just want to thank my parents and my Grandma for all of the wonderful help that they gave to me, and for the support that they gave through out it all.

But she absolutely loves to laugh and have a fabuloso time with her family." Julie has been seen doing kind deeds to others her intire life. Mrs. Morrill has also been known to have a very strong testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She serves as the Enrichment Counselor and works hard at her calling all the time. "Ever since i can remember my mother has made the Gospel a very strong part in my life. She would pray with me as a child and would make reading the scriptures a very fun. I love my mother so very much and I don't think i can ever tell her how much i love her and thank her for all that she does for me. But Mom i just want you to know that your the best and I love you so so so very much!"

This morning i just could not sleep. So i got up around 6:20-6:30(ish). I cleaned up the kitchen and than i started to make some breakfast for my mom. I made pop-overs. And then decided to try some French Bread Breakfast muffins. (They are supposed to be like a French breakfast donut but its a muffin) Well i didn't read the instructions and accidentally added the Cinnamon butter and 1 other ingredient that i forgot what it was. Those three ingredients were supposed to be added after it was cooked. But i cooked it in the muffin. In the end they turned out really flat but supper good! (Thankfully) I also made some scrambled eggs with chess on top and some sausages, but i accidentally burned some of them. Than i whipped up some orange juice and Aasha made some Hot Chocolate. We had the table all set with flowers and everything. And than after breakfast we quickly cleaned the dishes and than went for a walk. After that we got ready for church. I had a blast curling Hanna's hair and putting it in the cutest bun you have ever seen. She looks so adorable.

And than i helped curl Aasha's Hair and i put it in a adorable pony-tail. And helped her choose a shirt and some jewelry and shoes. Than Aasha let me borrow her black and blue super beautiful dress and helped me choose a hair style. Right now dad is barbecuing and i made a fruit salad, and in like 10 min we are going down to Phil and Nancy's to join them for a wonderful Mother's day dinner.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AASHA!!!!!!!

(On Friday Nancy brought up a dozen pink roses for Aasha.)

Yesterday (April 18) was Aasha's 18th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
Wow, the years have really rolled by fast. I can still remember when we would play dolls together as little little kids. And it seems as though it was yesterday.
On Friday night We took Aasha, Phil, Nancy and Cathy out to dinner at Cachina-Cachina's. (its an Italian resturant in Issaquae)We had to wait almost 1 hour to get a table for our group size. But while we were waiting a magician came by and showed us a few tricks. And than blew up an oragne ballone dog for Aasha. While we were waiting for our diner to come Aasha opened her presents. She got a really cute brown shirt, with some brown pants and a blue jacket to match. And than she got $175, so that she can go get her a new coat for when she goes off to college. And than she can also buy herself a couple shirts too.

After dinner all of the waiters and waitresses came over and gave Aasha a big bowl of icecream and sang her Happy Birthday in Italina. It was pretty cool. Before going home we walked around the lake thats behind Cachina-Cachina's.

The next day we all woke up early and went on a little day trip. We all knew where we were going accept for Aasha. She didnt guess where we were going untill we got to a gas station close to where we were going. We went up north and were going to go to the Tulip festival. ( In these pictures She really isn't standing by Tulips, its a feild of dafadils that were on the side of the road.)

(This one really is a Tulip)

But instead we just meandered around some of the old towns. It was so goregous up there. We went into one antique store and there was an artist in there who was making name posters for free. So Aasha, Tyra and Hanna got one. It was pretty cool watching him. Than we went to the Mount Vernnon street fair, where we got lunch. After that we went down to Dessption pass, walked around the beach. It was a ton of fun.

To get off of the Island we took a farry boat. But we had to wait in a really long line to get onto the farry. Well i had to go to the bathroom really bad, so Aasha, dad and i got out at the top of the hill and figured that we would just walk down to the car afterwards because the line was moving so slow. Well we didnt find a bathroom. Because shortly after we got out the line started moving pretty fast and dad was scared that we were going to miss the boat. So we started running as fast as we could to catch up with mom and the kids. I made it to the car first about 5 minutes before Aasha and dad got to it. But thats only because shortly after i got in the car the line started moving again and they had to run farther.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AASHA! WE ALL LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

Happy Easter!

Early Easter morning Phil and Nancy egged our front yard. Eggs were all over the yard. In the plants, on the rocks and suction cupped to our car windows. While Hyram Tyra and Hanna were outside hunting for the eggs, Aasha and I hid more eggs inside.

After church mom made her special easter rolls and then we headed down to Phil and Nancy's to join them and Aunt Cathy for a Easter barbe-que. On Saturday mom asked me to make a special Easter dessert that we could take to the dinner so i made two strawberry cheesecakes. (that were in pie tin's)And for my first time making cheesecake it tasted pretty good, if i don't say so myself.

Spring Break Recap

On Monday Hanna and Tyra invited their friends Jackie and Cora for a play date and a sleepover. That day we were going to go on a hike to Franklin Falls, but they had 4 feet of snow and we were not dressed for the cold. (because of the beautiful weather that day) So we changed our course and went down by the river. Hyram, Tyra, Hanna, Jackie and Cora all had fun building a rock/sand foot bridge out to a small little "island" that was about 1 1/2 feet away from the beach. The kids had fun soaking their feet in the water and getting very dirty.

This is a log that we found that was chopped down by a beaver. (we think)

On Tuesday Jackie and Cora took Hanna and Tyra to the Seattle Aquarium. Mom and Dad went to work and Aasha went to school. So Hyram and I were left home alone. The weather was so BEAUTIFUL that we just could not stay home. So we hiked down to the river. The water was so cool and it was a lot of fun spending some time with just my brother. (which i dont do often enough)

Hyram shows me the way to the river. He is very excited that he knows the way and I dont. Usually its the other way around.

After we got back, Nancy let us borrow her barbe-quer and we barbe-qued sha-bobs together. And than we ate our lunch on the proch together. Later when Mom and Aasha got home we went for a bike ride around Rattle Snake Lake. In the end the whole day was a BLAST!
After our bike ride on Tuesday we went to the library and than when we got home we found this HUGE wood pecker. I tried to get a picture of it but i think it has a fear of cameras. Maybe its not very photogenic.

Saturday morning mom had a scrapebooking party at our house, so she kind of kicked us out of the house. So dad took us kids hiking up Little Si. We hike the whole thing in 2 hours and 23 minutes. Hyram, Tyra and I were so anxious to get to the top we went ahead and Aasha, Hanna and Dad stayed behind. We both had phones. At one moment the phone that I had started rining and it was for Aasha, so i had to hike the phone down to her. And than we we reached the top the veiw was beautiful!

Tyra poses for me on the trail side.

Tyra and I were yet again anxious to get to the bottom so we hiked ahead again.
