On Monday Hanna and Tyra invited their friends Jackie and Cora for a play date and a sleepover. That day we were going to go on a hike to Franklin Falls, but they had 4 feet of snow and we were not dressed for the cold. (because of the beautiful weather that day) So we changed our course and went down by the river. Hyram, Tyra, Hanna, Jackie and Cora all had fun building a rock/sand foot bridge out to a small little "island" that was about 1 1/2 feet away from the beach. The kids had fun soaking their feet in the water and getting very dirty.
This is a log that we found that was chopped down by a beaver. (we think)
On Tuesday Jackie and Cora took Hanna and Tyra to the Seattle Aquarium. Mom and Dad went to work and Aasha went to school. So Hyram and I were left home alone. The weather was so BEAUTIFUL that we just could not stay home. So we hiked down to the river. The water was so cool and it was a lot of fun spending some time with just my brother. (which i dont do often enough)
Hyram shows me the way to the river. He is very excited that he knows the way and I dont. Usually its the other way around.
After we got back, Nancy let us borrow her barbe-quer and we barbe-qued sha-bobs together. And than we ate our lunch on the proch together. Later when Mom and Aasha got home we went for a bike ride around Rattle Snake Lake. In the end the whole day was a BLAST!
After our bike ride on Tuesday we went to the library and than when we got home we found this HUGE wood pecker. I tried to get a picture of it but i think it has a fear of cameras. Maybe its not very photogenic.
Saturday morning mom had a scrapebooking party at our house, so she kind of kicked us out of the house. So dad took us kids hiking up Little Si. We hike the whole thing in 2 hours and 23 minutes. Hyram, Tyra and I were so anxious to get to the top we went ahead and Aasha, Hanna and Dad stayed behind. We both had phones. At one moment the phone that I had started rining and it was for Aasha, so i had to hike the phone down to her. And than we we reached the top the veiw was beautiful!
Tyra poses for me on the trail side.
Tyra and I were yet again anxious to get to the bottom so we hiked ahead again.
